Stai guardando la Tv: NASA Television

NASA Television
NASA Television is a multi-channel, MPEG-2 digital service, transmitted from two C-band U.S. satellites: AMC-6, at 72 degrees west longitude, transponder 17C, with a downlink frequency of 4040 MHz, and vertical polarization; and AMC-7, at 137 degrees west longitude, transponder 18C, with a downlink frequency of 4060 MHz, and vertical polarization.

There are three standard definition NASA TV channels available. The Public Channel (Program 101), Education Channel (Program 102) and Media Channel (Program 103). An HD Channel (Program 105) also is available.

A satellite dish of approximately ten feet is required to receive the NASA TV C-band digital downlink. The data rate for all channels is 36.860Mb/s, with a symbol rate of 26.665 Ms/s. A Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) compliant Integrated Receiver Decoder (IRD) is required for reception, and most off-the-shelf units are suitable. The packet identifier (PID) decimal values for HD Program 105 are: 82/video, 238/AC-3 audio, and 83/MPEG-1 Layer II audio.
